Congratulations to the Society of Construction Law of Japan (SCL Japan) on its inaugural event in Tokyo on 25 September.

Systech was pleased to support the occasion as one of the event sponsors.

We are also proud to recognise the contribution of our colleague Shingo Ohno, who played a key role in the establishment of SCL Japan as a founding member and now serves as an Executive Director of the Society.

Having worked with Japanese businesses since 1995, Systech welcomes the establishment of SCL Japan and the opportunity it creates for Japan’s construction, engineering and legal communities to share knowledge, experience and different perspectives.

For Japanese businesses delivering major projects internationally, those conversations are increasingly important. Projects often span different contractual frameworks, jurisdictions and project cultures — bringing with them complex commercial and contractual challenges.

Systech has supported Japanese clients on international projects for many years, and we see real value in bringing professionals together to explore how those challenges can be managed, how disputes can be avoided and, where they do arise, how they can be resolved effectively.

9月25日、東京にて開催されたSociety of Construction Law of Japan（日本SCL）の設立記念イベントのご成功を、心よりお祝い申し上げます。

Systechは、本イベントのスポンサーの一社として、日本SCLの新たなスタートを支援できたことを大変嬉しく思います。

また、日本SCLの創設メンバーの一人として設立に携わり、現在は理事を務める弊社の大野紳吾が、その立ち上げに貢献できたことを誇りに思います。

Systechは1995年以来、長年にわたり日本企業とともに、国内外のプロジェクトに取り組んできました。近年、日本の建設会社やエンジニアリング企業が海外の大型プロジェクトに参画する機会が増える中、異なる契約制度、法制度、商慣習、プロジェクト文化への対応はますます重要になっています。

日本SCLの設立により、建設、エンジニアリング、法務をはじめとする幅広い分野の専門家が集まり、知識や実務経験を共有し、契約・商務上の課題や紛争の予防・解決について議論する場がさらに広がることを期待しています。

Systechも、これまで培ってきた国際プロジェクトの経験を活かしながら、日本SCLの今後の発展を支援するとともに、日本の建設業界との関係をさらに深めてまいります。
